Conditions for the Programme in Germany |
Conditions applying to participants in a programme of advanced
professional training organised by the Govern-ment of the Federal
Republic of Germany
- Decisions regarding applications for scholarships are made
by the offices commissioned by the Federal Government to carry
out the programme. The applications are notified of the decisions
by there offices. The scholarship agreement becomes effective
when the applicant has confirmed knowledge of his / her acceptance
and has recognised the conditions for participation.
- The duration and content of the course of advanced training
will be finally agreed with the schol-arship holder in Germany,
on the basis of specific professional aspects. The language for
the pro-gramme is German. Applications with only little or no
knowledge of German have to attend a language course after arriving
in the Federal Republic of Germany.
- The amount of the scholarship is sufficient to cover board
and lodging and small additional ex-penses. It is not sufficient
to cover the maintenance of members of the participants family.
For this reason, family members cannot be brought to Germany.
The upkeep of the family in the home country must be ensured prior
to the departure. During the introductory and language course
the participant receives free board and lodging and a reduced
scholarship.
- After entering the Federal Republic of Germany, the participant
will undergo a medical examina-tion.
- The participant must not accept any other scholarships and
may not enter into any employment or practice any secondary occupation
during the advanced training. The time which is available is to
be employed for the purposes of advanced training.
- During his / her stay in the Federal Republic of Germany, the
participant will be insured against illness and to cover personal
liability; any claims against third parties are to be transferred.
De-tails will be discussed during the orientation course.
- The participant declares his / her consent that personal data
may be stored, processed and passed on to third parties, in so
far as this is necessary for the purposes of the advanced training,
includ-ing subsequent supervision.
- The participant authorises the office carrying out the programme
to obtain necessary information from advanced training companies,
authorities and schools during his / her period of stay in Ger-many
and furthermore releases doctors and health establishments from
their obligation to observe professional discretion.
- The participant has to settle any outstanding financial obligations
before returning to his / her home country. In so far as any excess
scholarship payments may have been made, he / she author-ises
the office carrying out the programme to debit these from his
/ her Giro account.
- The programme of advanced training can be discontinued for
important reasons, e.g.
- if the objective of the advanced training cannot be attained
- for medical reasons
- in the event of any infringement of the Conditions for
Participation
- in the event of any laws of the Federal Republic of Germany
being violated.
- The participant is obliged to return to his / her home country
immediately after completing the programme of advanced training.
In the event of him / her remaining in the Federal Republic of
Germany, he / she must repay the scholarship.
